Stouts are dark beers similar to porters but with stronger roasted flavors. Porters are beers that are made with malted barley. Traditionally, these beers are expected to be easier to drink and, at the same time, to maintain the complexity of dark malt, which makes them toasted, with a nutty flavor, sometimes with dark fruits, but with a low alcohol content to be enjoyed on any occasion. Porters are dark brown beers that are made with chocolate malts or, sometimes, with brown malts, roasted barley, or special malts.
They taste almost the same, with only slight differences in the notes of their flavors.
