Brewhogs Micro Brewery

Brewhogs Micro-Brewery in Kyalami brews on a piece of South African beer history. Its showpiece brewhouse was commissioned in 1984 from Robert Morton of Burton-on-Trent — England's brewing capital — and spent nine years as the working brewery at Gold Reef City's Barney's Tavern before moving to the World of Beer in Newtown. Brewhogs bought and fully refurbished the system in 2013 and re-established it in Barbeque Downs, where it stands today.

The brewery is capable of complex stepped mashing, which lets Brewhogs brew across the full spectrum of beer styles — unusual freedom for a microbrewery this size.
