Lions River Craft Brewery is a family-run operation brewing out of Assagay in Outer West Durban — and it does things its own way. The brewery itself opens to visitors by appointment, with Saturday hours from 11am to 4:30pm, while its beers pour daily at the Taps on Twenty 4 taproom on Old Main Road in Hillcrest.
That split setup is worth knowing before you visit: the Fraser Road site is where the brewing happens, but the Hillcrest taproom is where you'll most easily find the range on tap alongside food and a family crowd.
